Founded in 1988 by John Cambridge, Bob Barnwell, Joe De Andrade, and Graeme Ward, Barnwell Cambridge is a privately owned family business with a distinguished legacy of excellence in the industry. Our Journey
Since our inception, Barnwell Cambridge has navigated the challenges of the industry with resilience and vision. Our initial contracts were secured through strong relationships within the industry, with esteemed clients such as Qantas, Commonwealth Bank, AW Edwards, and Gartner Rose. This early foundation set the stage for our future achievements.
In 1995, we completed one of our first major projects, the Nan Tien Temple, demonstrating our capability to handle diverse and significant projects. By 1997, we expanded our reach with the establishment of JCB Communications, further diversifying our expertise.
The turn of the millennium saw Barnwell Cambridge pioneer large-scale data centres with the completion of Optus Ultimo and Powertell Facility. These projects showcased our ability to handle cutting-edge technology and large-scale operations.
In 2013, we celebrated our 25th anniversary with the completion of the iconic SCG – Nobel Bradman Stand, a testament to our enduring excellence and contribution to major sporting venues.

Looking Forward
As we move forward, Barnwell Cambridge remains dedicated to upholding our core values and embracing innovation. In 2016, John Cambridge began a gradual retirement from his role as Managing Director, passing the baton to Anthony Cambridge, who now oversees daily operations. John continues to provide valuable insights and strategic direction as a Director.
